Miley Cyrus Debuts New Short Haircut
She’ll have to get used to the double-takes, but Miley Cyrus couldn’t be happier with her new, edgy ‘do.
The “Party in the U.S.A.” singer shocked fans when she debuted a bold new haircut on Twitter late Sunday night after dropping vague hints throughout the day.
“Tick tock tick tock,” she wrote at one point.
“It’s happening,” she teased, along with a photo of hairstylist Chris McMillan just about to lop off her famous bun.
And finally: “If you don’t have something nice to say don’t say anything at all. My hair is attached to my head no one else’s and it’s going bye bye :)”
“Never felt more me in my whole life,” she wrote, posting a few shots of herself mugging for the mirror.
In an interview with ABC several years ago, Cyrus reportedly expressed interest in throwing caution to the wind like British model Twiggy and trying a daring new look.
“One day I’m going to cut my hair like (Twiggy), I know I am,” she said at the time. “I will one day.”
Just last week, the former Disney star stunned fans when she turned her long locks platinum blond and debuted a shorter chin-length crop.
Luckily for Cyrus, she and fiance Liam Hemsworth, 22, are in no rush to wed, so she’ll have plenty of time to figure out whether the cut is a keeper or not.

“Life is too short not to be with the person you want to be with,” she told the September issue of Marie Claire. “I don’t really care about the wedding or the piece of paper as much as I do the promise we’ve made to each other. And we want to have a long engagement.”
